For years, Pakistani brand-creator deals lived in WhatsApp. A brand DMs a creator. They agree on a price. The creator posts. The brand says "bhai payment next week" — and sometimes, next week arrives. Sometimes it doesn't.

The deeper issue was never bad intent. It was the absence of a neutral third party holding the money. Both sides had to extend trust to a stranger. When it worked, it was fine. When it didn't, you got a screenshot war on Twitter.

Escrow changes the structure entirely. The brand funds the order on Collabify before any work starts. The money is locked. The creator delivers knowing the funds exist. The brand approves knowing they control the release.

The surprising thing we learned in private beta: once escrow was in place, everything else got better too. Creators delivered faster. Brands were more specific in their briefs. Disputes dropped 95% compared to our pilot cohort's historical WhatsApp deal rate.

Trust, it turns out, doesn't have to be earned. It can be engineered.
